Austin Homeowners Association - Merion Circle Water & Wastewater Line Construction Update

Good Afternoon Chimney Hills Residents,

We would like to inform you that construction on the Merion Circle water and wastewater line project is scheduled to begin next week. Trash service will continue on its normal collection schedule.

The construction crew will begin with potholing and other preliminary work next week, with excavation and wastewater line installation expected to begin the following week.

To minimize disruption and maintain traffic flow, the project will be completed in phases. The wastewater line will be installed on one side of the roadway, while the water line will be installed on the other. Crews will work within the confines of the street and will keep approximately half of the roadway open to allow vehicle access. Traffic control measures, including flaggers and signage, will be in place throughout the project.

Project equipment and materials will be staged in the green space located near the intersection of Wimbledon Drive and Chimney Hills Boulevard.

Merion Circle residents should not be concerned about being unable to access their homes during construction. The crews will work with residents as needed if construction is taking place in front of a driveway. Temporary steel plates will be installed when necessary to allow residents to safely enter and exit their properties.
